A quiet and powerful machine. This unit replaced an older model with a noisy motor. This unit is much quieter but produces a strong current. My old unit lacked a debris shield and was often damaged by debris after big rain event washed debris into the pond. This unit has a nice debris shield that should prevent the unit from ingesting debris large enough to cause damage to the propeller and motor.
